Our Pantry Makeover

Tis the season for decluttering and reorganization! This was a project started last year. However, it is still a work in progress as we find storage solutions that work best for us. Thanks to my husband it is sooooo much better than it was when we moved in. NO MORE WIRE SHELVES!

This is what it looked like empty with the original shelving. It just wasn’t working as stuff could fall through the cracks. Also, there was a nice bend in it from all our canned goods.

My husband to the rescue! He ripped out the wire shelving and repaired the wall.

Next came the paint.

Fresh slate for my husband to put in sturdy wood shelving!

He even made a cut-out for the trash can! I love the little shelf above it for the garbage bags and chip clips.

It is a beauty!

As I mentioned earlier, it still could use some organizational help but the stage has been set and we are well on our way.

Here are a few of the items I did pick-up so far that have helped with storage and organization:

  • Spice shelf
  • Snack baskets
  • Storage containers
  • Bag dispenser

Apparently we love our snacks. It is very convenient to be able to quickly grab some pretzels to send with the kids for their school snack. It is also very apparent that we really like cinnamon and paprika. This whole project is very doable for anyone and cost around $150!
