Lately we have been trying to declutter and get the house more organized. As part of that journey, I often find myself needing a little something extra to help. Due to this, I often turn to Amazon. That way I can quickly order it on my phone before I forget! Plus I know it will be on my doorstep in a day or two.
Here are my 10 favorites so far that have been the most helpful. All the individual links are in each section but you can also find them all here.
#10-Rope Basket
We use this in the corner of our bedroom to store extra blankets and pillows. This basket is great. It is roomy and cute. It can serve multiple purposes. I got it on one of those lightning deals where it was under $25. The only downside is it comes creased. Ideally I should iron it out but…..I doubt that will happen anytime soon as it is not high on my priority list.
#9-Food Storage
Finally my brown sugar doesn’t turn into a big rock! These containers were long overdue.
#8-Spice Rack
I finally can see all my spices! This was a wonderful addition to our pantry. Maybe most grown-ups already know about these spice racks, but if you don’t have one it is well worth it.
#7-Refrigerator Storage
I wasn’t so sure about these containers but now I really like them. I can put snacks the kids are allowed to grab together where they can reach them. That way I no longer have to hear them scream my name every time they want some applesauce, grapes, or a drink!
#6-Seat Organizers
I saw these on lightning deal and wasn’t sure. However, my car can’t get any worse so I decided to try them. Turns out the kids love them. They actually bring their own snacks to put in the pockets. They are especially helpful for road trips and we can stay somewhat organized. It is that when the kids want a snack or a Kleenex they can just get it themselves.
It is a bit messy but you get the idea!
#5-Bean Bag
Such a fabulous idea! It is a bean bag chair for the kids but also a secret hiding place for all those darn stuffed animals.
#4-Baskets
These can be used for multiple purposes. I use them to hold kid-friendly snacks in the pantry, again so they hopefully don’t have to bother me. I use them to sort kid vs. adult medicine. I use them for travel toiletries, bath toys, and so on. The possibilities are endless.
#3-Binders
This seems so simple but it took me a couple tries to figure out what worked for all the kids papers they would bring home from daycare. Now that they are in school, I use 3-ring binders to organize their papers by grade. I put a school picture in the front cover. I got page protectors which allow me to easily slide in the work that I want to keep. I have one binder per kid, per grade.
#2-Award Rack
Now-a-days you seem to get a medal for anything. My husband found this great rack to hold them since the kids like their medals. I like that it also has a shelf so now I have somewhere to put those darn team pictures 😉
#1-Book Shelf
I am a big fan of these shelves. Trying to contain books is a pain. I love that you can see the books and the titles. Plus I love the navy blue color but they have different varieties to suit your taste.
Honorable Mention
We reuse the plastic bags that make their way into our house. Therefore, this container was perfect. We have the cheap plastic one but they do have a nice metal one as well.
